How We Work

Century 21 is an off-price retailer. We purchase designer overstock, samples, past-season inventory, and closeout merchandise directly from brands and sell it at 40–65% below the original retail price. There is no full ecommerce catalog — the treasure hunt happens in-store, and the inventory you find one day may be gone the next. This is by design: the floor resets constantly with new arrivals.

Shopping at Century 21

  • No ecommerce for the full in-store assortment. Select items are available at c21stores.com, but the vast majority of inventory is in-store only.
  • Fitting rooms on Floors 2 and 3, no appointment needed
  • On-site alterations on Floor 3
  • Fully wheelchair accessible with elevators to all floors
  • Clothing and footwear under $110 per item are exempt from NYC sales tax — a meaningful saving for tourists and locals
  • We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and cash
  • Century 21 Rewards loyalty program is free to join; details at Rewards

For Tourists

Century 21 NYC is one of Manhattan's top tourist shopping destinations. Located near major attractions (World Trade Center, 9/11 Memorial, Brooklyn Bridge, Wall Street, Statue of Liberty ferries), the store is easily accessible from all parts of the city and from New Jersey via PATH. Tax-free clothing under $110 makes it especially popular with international visitors. English, Spanish, French, Mandarin, and Arabic are commonly spoken by staff.
