A gray crewneck with initials stitched under the collar makes a better gift than the crewneck on its own. On Thursday, October 22 and Friday, October 23, from 12 to 8 PM, Century 21 NYC will do that stitching for free. Any cashmere you buy in the store during those hours can be custom embroidered at our station on the main floor.

The terms are simple. The cashmere has to be bought at Century 21 NYC on October 22 or 23 during event hours, and each guest gets one embroidered item. Pieces brought from home are not eligible. You don't need a ticket or a code. Shop the floor, pay at the register and bring your piece to the station.

What the Free Cashmere Embroidery event is

Free Cashmere Embroidery is a two-day in-store event at Century 21 NYC, 22 Cortlandt Street. On Thursday, October 22 and Friday, October 23, 2026, from 12 to 8 PM, guests who buy cashmere at Century 21 can have one item custom embroidered for free at a station on the main floor. Cashmere on the floor starts at $24.99.

"This is the week to find a gift and make it personal," says Judy Duzich, Chief Merchant Officer at Century 21. "Pick a cashmere sweater on our floor, walk it over to the station, and it is monogrammed before you leave."

The cashmere to look for

In Cashmere crewnecks. The striped crewneck is tan with thin orange stripes. Wear it over a white tee with straight dark jeans, or let the stripes show under an open camel coat. The black one is plainer, and you'll reach for it more often, under a blazer on Monday and with jeans on Saturday. Both are $99.99, against a $189 value, in women's sweaters.

Naadam scarves. Naadam is a New York cashmere company founded in 2013. Its ribbed scarf comes in light heather gray and black, both $59.99. Wear it long and doubled around the neck over a peacoat, or loop it once and tuck the ends into a puffer. Gray goes with almost any coat. If you're buying for someone and don't know what they wear, pick the black.

Portolano gloves. Portolano is a family glove maker with roots in Naples, Italy, now run by its fourth generation. The ribbed cashmere gloves in dark heather gray are $49.99, on a $161 value. Gray gloves look polished with a navy or camel coat and are sturdy enough for a daily subway commute. They're what we'd buy for the person who already owns everything.

V. Fraas plaid scarf. Black with white and gray blocks and a thin red line, finished with a short fringe. Wrap it over a plain black wool overcoat and the whole look gets sharper.

For him. The Neiman Marcus cashmere crewneck, $89.99 on a $348 value, is the sweater most men will actually wear three days a week. The brick red Neiman Marcus quarter-zip goes over an oxford shirt for the office. The Saks Fifth Avenue navy turtleneck sits under a blazer or a topcoat for dinner. 1. Come to Century 21 NYC on Thursday, October 22 or Friday, October 23, between 12 and 8 PM.
2. Choose your cashmere anywhere on the floor and pay at the register during event hours.
3. Bring the piece to the embroidery station on the main floor.
4. Tell the team what you would like stitched, such as initials or a name. They will walk you through the options on the day.
5. One embroidered item per guest. Your piece is personalized at the station before you leave the store.
